Summary of assignment 1 2022
Here is a quick summary and suggested steps for assignment 2:
The goal of the second assignment is to implement HTML, CSS codes to create a completed website based on your prototypes in assignment 1, redesign your design.html to match the requirements and answer the discussion questions- Copy files from assignment 1
For this assignment, you will be provided an empty folder.- You need to download the files from assignment 1 then upload them to assignment 2 folder on Replit
- Run to make sure your pages are working, they should look similar to what you have in assignment 1
- You should have 8 html files and at least one css file. Don't forget your images.
- You don't need to create any new file in this assignment.
- Edit index.html, cs100.html and pageX.html based on the prototypes
- Edit index.html, cs100.html and pageX.html to match the prototypes you created in assignment 1. You may need to add changes to both html and css files.
- You can use default css or create other css files. In the html files, make sure to add links to your stylesheets. Check out how to link css files here
- If your pages are not consistent with the prototypes as desigined in the first assignment, you'll need to provide a detailed explanation. It could be about why your designs in assignment 1 are hard to be implemented or what part you find it difficult to do.
- Edit design.html to match the requirements
- In design.html, create a 2 column table that includes your prototypes and its descriptions from assignment 1, and your experience when writing the codes. Here what your table should look like:
- Your table should has two columns. You will add rows into your table as you write code. Note there are some cells that span down multiple rows. Check out how to do it here, you will find it in "Advanced Table Practice"
- To make a cell an image, combine td tags with an img tag. For example:

- To make a cell a paragraph, combine td tags with an p tag. For example:
<td><p><Something</p></td>
- On each of page1.html, page2.html, page3.html, ect, provide an answer to each discussion question. (2-4 paragraphs, with 3-4 sentences minimun in each paragraph)
- You should include at least one book/journal reference, one web reference, and one image reference
- If using wikipedia or course text book, a minimum of 4 references are needed, aminimum of 5 references are needed if using both wikipedia and the course textbook
- Remember to use APA format when creating the references. The notes for how to cite using APA format can be found in lab 4
Remember that all files need to be uploaded into your repl project for assignment two for the marker to see them, including the images. You can upload files by dragging them into the files tab on the left
