This document outlines how to install and configure Fugu the Mac equivalent of WinSCP. It will take a little more effort for you to use but you should be able to work from home.
Fugu should work on new Macs. If you have Mac OS X 10.1 or newer Fugu should work. You must also have the BSD subsystem installed. This is included with the default installation of Mac OS X. Mac OS X 10.0 is not supported. If you have Mac OS X 10.4 you need Fugu 1.2
Download the installer via the Web:
You will need an account with Administrator
privileges to
install this program. If you need help installing the software see
Alex in office hours in CL119 or go to the IT Support
helpdesk in the library.
After downloading the installer, double-click on the Fugu-1.2.0-English.dmg to begin installation.
Fugu Secure FTP Client displays the License Agreement
page.

Read the Software License Agreement.
If you agree to the terms, click Agree.
The following icon is created on your desktop:

To connect and perform file transfers to the server double click on the
Fugu icon.

Fugu displays the following dialog box:
Connect to:box.
Username:box.
Portbox.
Directoryfield blank.
Connect.
The authentication screen will appear:

Enter your password and click Authenticate.
public_htmldirectory on the remote server box.

Disconnectbutton to disconnect from the remote server. Click on Fugu and Exit to end the SFTP session.
To be sure your file was sent with the correct permissions you can click on the file on the hyperion side then click on the Info button:
