| If you have questions or need further help there are always plenty of extra hours during the week in which lab instructors are available outside of scheduled labs. Please check the CL119 Office Hours schedule as well as the CL136 schedule (for the weekends). Do not allow yourself to fall behind or let questions go unanswered. We have provided many resources to help you outside of lab times...please take advantage of this opportunity. |

It is the responsibility of each student to be familiar with all the policies for the CS 100 course as well as the labs. This means that you should carefully read over all seminar notes, assignment marking schemes, test questions, brochures, instructor e-mail and the CS100 web pages. All the necessary information is either posted on the web or sent to you using e-mail. Please be advised that from time to time throughout the semester you will receive a lot of important e-mail from your course and lab instructors. You will have to be checking your e-mail frequently and be required to reply if necessary.
Students MUST complete Assignments 1, 2 & 3, as well as write the final exam to be eligible to pass the class. These are mandatory elements that must be completed. All work is to be completed by the last day of class. Assignments submitted after the scheduled due dates will not be given a mark, but they MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER FOR YOU TO PASS THE CLASS.
In order to be successful in CS100 you will be required to spend time using the software either in the lab or at home. The seminars are designed to give each student a general overview, but each student must spend time reviewing the entire seminar notes. It is essential for students to review material posted on-line through the CS100 Home Page.
You are required to provide Photo ID for all lab tests. Do not forget to bring your I.D.!!
If you do not come to the lab test with your University Photo I.D. there will be consequences! Ask your lab instructor for the details of the policy in the current semester.
If you have any questions regarding these points, or any material for the CS100 course, please send email to the help.100 e-mail address, or come to CL119 during scheduled office hours, or come to CL136 during the weekend and extra help sessions.
