If you are a real person sending me an individually composed email
message, it is my intention to respond to you within a week (except
late December and a few weeks in the summer).
Due to the large number of spam emails I receive, 
I have spam filtering set at a pretty aggressive level.
Thus, I may not receive your message.

If you are a potential grad student from Canada, I will endeavour
to reply within a week.  If you are a potentail grad student
from another country, I will only reply if I see
a potential match.  I simply receive too many to respond to.

For any other email, if you don't get a reply from me within 
a week, please send your message again using a plain ASCII message 
with no attachments, not even HTML.  Once we make contact
I can add you to my "white" list and then you can send
me other information, including attachments.
