What did you like best about the course?

  1. course content is exciting, something we haven't encountered in other classes; stress buster
  2. course topic itself is very interesting

  4. some of the TED work videos are really impressing, especially the software which can create the sample motion of the object
  5. it provides some practical experience in programs such as GIMP and Audacity so far that will be used in the real world
  6. relaxed atmosphere

  8. the creativeness within the assignments and lab; the easiness overall; open-ended assignments
  9. learning multimedia as an individual and working as a group project help for this course
  10. I enjoy the creative discussions offered. Not many, if any, other courses incorporate the history and usage of multimedia
  11. the course is something I strongly recommend for people with little or no background in work with computers. It is helpful in identifying key aspects of the computer world that are already well-known by people with the relevant background

What would you like to change about the course?

  1. Absolutely Nothing
  2. less discussion

  4. the handwriting is sometimes too hard to understand (mine is bad too...) hope there will be a powerpoint available on urcourses or piazza
  5. I think the instructor has to be a little bit more to the point, confident, and should keep pauses in speech to a minimum
  6. more structured; examples for the assignments
  7. hope we could have a small group project before the final group project
  8. instructor should be more prepared with class material and equipment: doesn't know how to use a PC; website never works properly; nothing is explained in detail

What do you think the instructor's greatest strengths are?

  1. explaining course content; mutual respect for students and time; fair workload

  10. obviously has a thorough and great understanding of digital multimedia; does a good job of encouraging students and making their opinions and contributions seem valuable
  11. Dr. Hepting is an excellent instructor, but is very soft spoken and can sometimes become difficult or boring to listen to. Otherwise he is excellent at teaching and I would recommend him as a professor.
