For the Wrists
CAUTION: Be very gentle with the wrists.
Overstretching can make them worse not better.
Go only to the point that you feel the first stretch.
Extensor Stretch
- With arm straight, palm down, bend the wrist, fingers pointing down.
- This may be enough stretch.
- To increase stretch, place opposite palm on back of hand and apply
gentle pressure.
- To increase stretch, close fingers.
- Repeat on opposite side.
Flexor Stretch
- With arm straight, palm up, bend at the wrist with fingers pointing
down.
- This may be enough stretch.
- To increase stretch, apply gentle pressure with oppposite hand.
- Repeat on opposite side.
Finger Stretch
- Alternate between opening and closing fingers.
- When fingers are open, spread apart.
