My Trip to Hawaii - March 1998
I only had two weeks in Hawaii, but they were great.
So much to see and do!!
- Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, is where you land when you arrive.
I don't have any pictures of my activities here, but the camcorder was put to good use.
- The Polynesian Cultural Center is a "must see".
It's a theme park really, a collection of mock villages made after
the various islands that make up Polynesia.
The live shows are spectacular.
- The island tour went past sugar plantations, pineapple fields,
beautiful beaches, and majestic cliffs.
- Honolulu Zoo is a marvelous place to spend a day.
They actually let you feed the elephants!
- Shopping of course is a major activity.
Red Mud wear, aloha shirts, moo moo's, perfumes - lots to choose from.
- There's a huge assortment of restaurants and night life.
- Kauai is the oldest and most beautiful of all the islands.
The only way to see Kauai is by air.
The rugged western coast, Na Pali, is not accessible by road because
the terrain is too rough to build a road!
- Here's a scenic guide of
Kauai
- While on Kauai, I went
snorkling for the first time.
- I went on two helicopter rides, one over Kauai (spectacular
scenery), and the other over Hawaii to look at volcanoes - awesome!.
- Check out the lava pic's in:
