Our Reunion in Thunder Bay

I was delighted to be invited to the grand reunion of our group at Thunder Bay. My departure from the group in London had been so abrupt that I didn't get chance to say goodbye to all my new friends. So when Don and Evert invited me to stay at their cottage on Lake Superior, I lept at the chance! I got the royal tour of Fort William / Port Arthur (now known as Thunder Bay) including Finnish pancakes at the Hoito. The day of our reunion started off by taking care of our furry friends before all the pot-luckers began to arrive at the cottage.

Don was kept very busy serving up tea on the beautiful Luminosov china from St. Petersburg.

While some of us had Russian tea, others checked out photo albums from our trip.

Then of course the punch had to be quality control checked. It was a busy day!!

The weather was a bit "iffy" at first, but thankfully it turned into sunshine, so many of us enjoyed the great outdoors on the decks around the cottage.

More photo albums to be checked out here! It was really interesting to see everyone's perspectives on the trip.

When we weren't looking at pictures, we were trading stories and reliving the details of the trip.

And of course we had to take yet more pictures of one another to remember the event. It was a really great reunion and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to attend.
